Treatments and Services

Doctor Donna Woo Chiropractic and Wellness Center TYPES OF CARE

Crisis Care: Patients often seek our help because they have an acute injury or they have long-standing problems that they can no longer ignore.

Critical Transition Care: Patients choose to continue with treatment so they are not just putting a "bandage" on their problems. They truly want to correct their problems and prevent a relapse.

Wellness/Lifestyle Care: Patients choose to stay well. The frequency of visits depends on the intensity of their lifestyle.

TECHNIQUES & METHODS

Chiropractic Care: Chiropractic care is a safe & effective method to correct misaligned body structure & relieve nerve pressure. Once the pressure is relieved, the body is able to communicate with itself and heal itself. Chiropractic treatments not only involve adjustments by hand or special instruments; but include soft tissue therapy, physiologic therapeutics, electrical nerve stimulation, ultrasound, and traction; as well as wellness programs, exercise, stretching and nutrition.

Children & Youth Chiropractic: With children becoming more active in a wide variety of activities, it is important to understand that children's bodies are placed under extreme stress. Simple preventative treatments can help fix problems before they become major problems later in life. Chiropractic treatments can also help with ear infections and boosting immune systems.

Graston Technique: With specifically designed stainless steel instruments, Graston technique is designed to detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis/scar tissue or chronic inflammation. Originally developed for athletes, Graston technique allows Dr. Woo to gently and effectively break down scar tissue and help resolve chronic conditions.

Soft Tissue Therapy (Muscle Work, Myofascial Release, Nimmo, Trigger Point Therapy): Soft tissue therapy is a conservative and natural treatment to help relieve neuromuscular pain. Soft tissue therapy helps improve blood circulation, range of motion, and increase endorphin levels. Therapy is tailored to meet each patient's condition and needs.

Athletic Training: Athletic Training techniques, including taping and support, can help optimize patient participation in athletics. Through prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, athletic training can prevent and provide relief for sports-related injuries for all ages and types of athletes from children to the weekend warrior to the professional.

Digital X-ray: Our in-office Digital X-ray service makes the process of proper diagnosis simple and effective. We are able to pinpoint problems by immediately taking any necessary x-rays in-house. The use of Digital X-ray technology decreases our patients exposure to radiation and is environmentally friendly.

Erchonia Cold Laser: Used on the Tour de France, the Erchonia Cold Laser helps facilitate communication of the nerves to the target tissue, enhancing healing and allowing for a speedier recovery. The laser works especially well on "stubborn" soft tissue injuries and bone healing.

Nutrition: Many common health problems, including high blood pressure; diabetes; cancer; obesity; digestive disorders; arthritis; and heart disease, can be prevented or alleviated with a healthy diet. Diet also plays a role in sports performance. We will make recommendations to help with your overall goals and well being.

Stress Management: The mind, body and spirit are connected. Prolonged stress can lead to a weakened immune system and disease.

Most Common Conditions Treated: Neck & Shoulder Pain, Headaches, Ear & Sinus Infections, TMJ Dysfunction, Upper & Middle Back Pain, Arm Pain, Scoliosis, Poor Posture, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis & Golfers Elbow, Back & Sciatic Pain, Leg & Hip Pain, Arthritis & Plantar Fasciitis.
